Being away from the people you love is always difficult, especially when you don’t know when you’ll see them again.
That was the case for Staff Sgt. Jennifer White, who was apart from her three children for nearly six months while she was deployed in 2013. During her military leave, the Nebraska native decided to surprise her kin. The resulting moment is as special as this soldier who proposed to his girlfriend as well as this one who is reunited with his dog.
White first went to see her eldest daughter at school and their emotional moment is captured in the touching video below. Their warm embrace at the 0:25 mark truly shows how much they missed each other.
“I love you so much,” she told her daughter.
The mother and daughter then went to surprise the younger siblings. This time White was a little more creative.
During a school assembly, White’s younger daughter and son were brought to the front of the room as their classmates watched. The younger daughter, who celebrated a birthday a few days prior on Sept. 18, was told to go open a huge present along with her brother.
Just wait till you see the two little children open the enormous box at the 2:00 mark – it's a tear-jerking moment that show just how strong bond is between a mother and her children.
