Obese Shelter Cat’s Life-Saving Transformation! This Is Incredible!!

Overweight with severely matted hair, 23 lb. King Leo was found abandoned on the side of a road in Nashville, Tennessee, meowing inside his carrier case.

The 10-year-old Maine Coon kitty had been abused by his previous owners, to the point where the cat became morbidly obese. However, there was hope for King Leo. He wasn't going to give up and his rescuers weren't going to let him.

The cat was adopted by veterinary technician LaTisha Lampley, after caring for the cat at Animalia Health and Wellness, where the cat began his weight loss journey. Veterinarians shaved 2 lbs. of fur off of King Leo, making it easy for him to be active again. The cat has done a complete 180 with Lampley, who has truly been his savior. King Leo is currently undergoing water treadmill sessions to build strength and lose weight. Lampley and her family are also monitoring the cat's caloric intake and incorporating playtime exercises in their home in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

I'm so happy this cat FINALLY is in good hands and has caretakers who truly love him. His story is so inspirational for anyone trying to better their own health!
