Three kittens were dumped at the shelter within just hours of their birth, umbilical cords still attached, all fighting for their lives.
Fortunately for the adorable siblings, the Kitten Rescue of Los Angeles took them in and would do everything they possibly could to save them.
When you think about teeny, tiny kittens, you couldn't possibly imagine someone not wanting them.
But it seemed that the person who dropped them off felt that they had a reason: the kittens were born with serious genetic abnormalities that made simply surviving each day a challenge.
Their arms and legs were twisted, making even just walking an almost impossible task.
Sadly, one kitten from the litter did not make it overnight.
The two remaining kittens, named Pretzel and Curly Sue, were simply just trying to make it through each day. A woman named Laura fostered the kittens, bottle-feeding and caring for them.
Both were growing and seemed to be doing OK, until months later, Curly Sue passed away as well, leaving Pretzel all by herself.
But her will to live was beyond strong, and despite her abnormalities, she did everything she could to show just how sweet of a kitten she was.
Eight months later, Pretzel finally found her forever home, and it couldn't be a better match — just like when Ashton the pit bull with no eyes was finally adopted.
"I just want to take care of her," says her owner, Michelle. "I want to make her feel safe and loved."
It's clear from the video just how adored Pretzel is by her new mom, and she doesn't deserve anything less!
