When you work the night shift at a hospital, you never know who will be walking through the doors. Recently, security cameras at Western District Health Service in Hamilton, Australia, captured footage of a cute koala bear sneaking into the building and making himself at home.
In the middle of the night, the wild creature strolls right in through the sliding doors, before heading to the waiting room and checking out the magazine selection. After a few minutes, he's done and makes his way toward the offices before heading back out the door. (This hilarious koala reminds me a lot of the brazen pony who walked into a police station like it was no big deal whatsoever.)
Hospital boss Rohan Fitzgerald, who nicknamed the koala Blinky Bill after a 1930s cartoon koala.
"Our very own Blinky Bill pays a visit to the ED waiting room," the hospital captioned the video on Facebook.
According to a press release, Western District Health's chief executive Rohan Fitzgerald said the animal was "very casual, very relaxed."
"He seemed to know exactly what he was doing," Mr Fitzgerald said. "After about three minutes, at about 3:30 a.m., he investigated sufficiently and made sure everything was in order and then decided to exit the building."
The animal's unexpected visit delighted health workers and had become a viral hit on Facebook.
