Make Stunning Hair Dye With Kool-Aid And Hair Conditioner

Hair conditioner and blue Kool-Aid? Yeah, it definitely sounds a little weird…but the end result is stunning. In just a few minutes, you can elevate your entire look for a mere $2.75!

Youtube guru Abby mixes VO5 Tea Therapy Conditioner ($1.99) with three packets of Mixed Berry Kool-Aid ($0.75) to create a truly eye-catching hair dye.

With two common household items you can avoid the damaging chemicals in hair dyes and the damage done to your wallet at the salon. Not to mention this totally works with dark hair, too!

If this is a little too adventurous for you, try this hair tutorial on how to get beautiful curls without any heat.

What You'll Need:

  • 3 Kool-Aid packets (color of your choice)
  • White hair conditioner (of your choice)
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • Aluminum foil
  • Cup of hot water

Heat a cup of water in the microwave or stove, then slowly pour the water into a mixing bowl with Kool-Aid.

Pour the Kool-Aid mixture into a separate bowl with the conditioner. Now your custom-colored hair-dye is ready! Part the hair into sections and drench each section in the dye.

Finally, when the chosen section of hair is colored, wait an hour before rinsing with water. Let dry, and your gorgeous new look is complete.
