The Kardashian/Jenner family has built an empire by carefully controlling when and how news comes out. In most cases, that means making major announcements on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Or for a more dramatic (and frustrating) example, how about when Kylie Jenner didn't publicly confirm her pregnancy until the baby actually arrived!
Point being, this is a family that doesn't make accidental announcements. Keep that in mind when you see what matriarch Kris just did on The Late Late Show.
As everyone who "keeps up" with the family knows, Kris has been dating Corey Gamble for a while now. It's been a mostly quiet affair. While Corey does pop up on KUWTK and very occasionally makes headlines, the pair has managed to keep their relationship incredibly quiet. Or rather, as quiet as Kris Jenner can keep anything in her life.
But that might have all changed thanks to a game of Spill Your Guts. After a few innocent, mild questions about Kris' life, James Corden swung for the fences with his last question. See what happened below…
In case you weren't aware, that's Corey standing behind Kris:
The 37-year-old is a full 25 years younger than Kris(!), but that hasn't stopped the two from sharing a long-term consistent romance.
Fast facts about Corey: He's good friends with Justin Bieber and Kanye West, independently wealthy, and doesn't get along well with Khloé. While he and Kris met at a party in 2014, Corey's often described as a quiet guy more comfortable at home in front of the TV than with the club scene.
These days, all most people talk about is his semi-discreet relationship with Kris. But all that talk of keeping it low-key might have just gone up in smoke!
Kris, for unknown reasons, agreed to play James Corden's game.
If you haven't seen the bit, Spill Your Guts is basically truth or dare. You either have to answer James' question or eat a really disgusting food item. Kris' face above is reacting to learning one of the options is bull penis. Yuck!
After a little back and forth and some softball preliminary questions, James eventually gets to something juicy.
It's explained to Kris that she can either eat a cricket (reaction above) or answer the following question.
"Are you engaged to Corey?"
James points out her ring during the question, a very large diamond on the appropriate finger. Kris gives it an appreciating look before answering, "No."
BUT WAIT!
Kris immediately reaches for a cricket. Which she wouldn't have to do if she answered the question.
Turns out, she was saying "no" to answering the question. She refused to talk about it!
The cameras quickly cut to Corey, who is standing backstage, cracking up at the scene. And do we detect a trace of a knowing smile on that handsome face?
But James isn't done yet. He pounces once more.
James points out that she has a huge ring on her finger — she's not exactly hiding anything. To which Kris replies, "This isn't the ring."
James practically squeals with delight as he says, "So there IS a ring then!"

Naturally, the entire world is talking about the development.
Most point out what we said at the top: Kris is probably trying to keep the announcement as secret as possible so they can make a show of it for KUWTK.
While there are some doubters out there, most accept that her refusal to answer the question directly is as good as a confirmation!
But whether or not you believe it, if you love Kris as much as we do, you've got to be rooting for her to tie the knot one more time!
