This video has been seen over one million times, and I can totally see why. In 2013, the cast of one theater company's production of Les Misérables took to the White Oaks Mall in Springfield, IL to give shoppers an impromptu taste of what their amazing production contains.
Within seconds, ordinary mall shoppers transformed into incredible performers, surprising passers-by with a Broadway musical right there in the middle of the mall! As they belt out "One Day More," it's clear each and every singer is spectacular. People love a good flash mob — like Betty White's surprise flash mob on her 93rd birthday — and this one is no exception.
Just look at the excited faces of those who had no idea this was coming. By the end, when the performers sing in unison, my whole body was covered in chills.
My favorite part, however, is the man who sings his way up the escalator with a coffee in hand. Just classic! I wish I could have been there that day.
To be in a shopping mall while this unfolded all around you must have been so thrilling. Considering the mall's limitations, it's an amazing performance! Now this is how you market yourself!
