Lightning Nearly Burns Down Man’s Home, Then He Sees His Bible And Realizes It’s Untouched

As violent storms made their way over Clayton County, Georgia, many homes, roads, and properties were destroyed by strong winds, floods, and lightning.

Homeowner Alvin Smith and his family were just a few of those affected by the storms. His house was severely damaged by a fire caused by a lightning strike.

Luckily, it occurred when no one was home. Alvin received a call from his neighbor while he was working. When he came home, he realized that his life had changed forever.

But while most of his belongings suffered smoke damage or were burned completely, one object miraculously remained unscathed: his bible.

Surely, to anyone who hears this story, this sounds like a miracle!

It's also quite incredible that Alvin wasn't home at the time of the lightning strike.  If he had been, he says that he would have likely been in his office — precisely the area that was struck and first caught fire.

Hopefully, he and his family will be able to get back on their feet and repair their home soon. Firefighters were able to contain the fire before it consumed the entire house.

Please SHARE if you think it was a miracle that Alvin and his family were not home at the time of the disaster and that somehow, their bible emerged unscathed!
