Lioness Tries To Hitch A Ride By Opening A Safari Car Door

There's a lot that can happen when a wild animal gets a little too close for comfort. There's always a chance that an unfortunate accident can occur — which is why it isn't advised to willingly go near these animals to begin with. But even with the chance that there can be a positive experience with these animals, it's probably best to roll the windows up and keep your car doors locked!

A family of tourists learned the hard way after they got a little surprise while driving next to a lion pride. Safari trips are intended to be safe, and every precaution is taken to ensure the protection of tourists who want to admire the wild animals as close up as possible. But these tourists forget to lock their doors and perhaps even narrowly escaped the claws of a lioness.

You can see the lioness lurk near the moving car, by the lower right corner of the frame. The clip focuses on four lounging lions, but pays little attention to the two lions who appear in the window of the car.

That is, until one of lionesses grabs the car handle in her jaws and opens the door!

Luckily the tourists were able to shut the door in time — and although the lioness didn't seem to want to threaten the humans in her midst, it's still quite the frightening experience!
