Little Girl Accidentally Swallows Bead From Necklace, Hours Later She’s Barely Alive In Hospital

Most parents have been in a situation because their child put something in their mouth that they should not have.

In the case of Audrey Grady's family, they didn't realize just how drastic that situation could be if she swallowed a tiny little bead. It's not like she was going to choke on a small bead, right? No, she did not, but something worse happened.

Samantha Grady was on a Caribbean cruise that docked in Jamaica with her daughter Audrey when her daughter became suddenly ill. She was drooling and had a burning fever.

At first, they didn't realize what caused it, but then it was discovered that Audrey had accidentally ingested a bead from a necklace she was given. A shop owner had put the necklace on Audrey, so her grandmother bought it for her. While playing, the necklace broke and Audrey must have put a bead in her mouth.

Because there were holes drilled in the bead, the deadly toxins inside the bead released into Audrey's system. She was suffering a rare form of poisoning that was nearly fatal for the toddler.

Since her poisoning, Audrey has surprisingly made a full recovery and is a happy little girl now! Such poisoning is definitely something to be careful of when vacationing with children.
