Homeless Teen Finds Forever Home After Meeting Biological Sister’s Adoptive Parents

"Why didn't anybody else want to adopt him? If he was so perfect, why didn't somebody else want him?" said Ara Hunt. Ara heard that her adopted daughter's biological brother was looking for a forever family.

Logan and his sister, Shyann, had been given up by their biological mother when they were born. Shyann was adopted, but like Taylor, Logan went from foster home to foster home and eventually became homeless.

"Next thing you know… I'm sleeping in my car. I could even live in a box, I just want a family," Logan says. Desperate, he called his court-appointed special advocate and asked for money. She did him one better and tracked down his biological sister.

"Knowing that for so many years, this moment, it's actually here," Logan said. "It's almost like a kid's first Christmas or a kid's first birthday. You don't really know what to do. You don't really have the words to describe how joyful you are and how grateful you are for everything."

But Ara and her husband weren't sure about Logan. They were skeptical of the boy who spent 18 years in foster homes, but remained unwanted.

"We were fearful," Ara said. Then they met him… "It was instantaneous. It was tears, joy, fear, confusion," Ara said. Soon after, Logan moved in and the family legally adopted him.
