Thrill seekers are always looking for their next adventure. If they love roller coasters, they're always on the hunt for the highest, fastest one. It's what drives them.
We've seen videos of several self-proclaimed "world's scariest" roller coasters everywhere, including one in Canada that climbs 306 feet before its massive drop, and even one in North Carolina that reaches a height of 325 feet. If you think those coasters are crazy, try experiencing a 168-foot drop on a water slide.
Well, there's a brand new water slide that's set to debut in 2016 that's looking to best every single one of them, and it's going to open in one of the world's most infamous amusement parks: Vernon, NJ's newly reopened Action Park.
If you grew up during the 1980s (especially on the East Coast), then you likely heard the horror stories of injuries and accidents at the New Jersey amusement park. It seemed like every weekend someone else was getting hurt, which caused the original Action Park to shut down in 1996.
During its time in operation, Action Park had a ride called Cannonball Loop that became perhaps its most infamous. The looping water slide was only open for one month before being shut down for safety concerns. Since then, no one else has tried a ride like this. Until now…
Check out the video below to see how a company named Skyturtle Technologies has built an absolutely insane water slide that not only features a 45-foot freefall, but also sports a 30-foot loop. The terrifying ride is set to open in the newly revamped (and safe!) Action Park during the 2016 season.
While the video certainly makes this crazy water slide look much safer than the infamous Cannonball Loop, it remains to be seen just how long it will stay open. I'm already a little nauseated just thinking about even trying this thing!
