If you've ever had a stuffed animal, or have had one in your care then you know that their sentimental value is priceless.
In fact, the value of a stuffed animal goes up with wear and tear. The more ratty a teddy bear, the more sentimental value he holds.
As you can imagine, every child and in turn every parent's worst nightmare is losing one of these priceless friends.
Of course, sometimes even our most prized possessions have a way of becoming lost or forgotten.
If you and your animal are one of the lucky ones, someone who understands, like this janitor, will find him and take him on a toy tour.
Another lucky lost stuffed animal, named George was recently found in a rest stop in Iowa by mom Katie Hoeppner.
When she found George, she knew that he meant a lot to someone and took to Facebook to find his family. But, not without having a little fun with George first.

The adventures of George began when Katie found him all alone in a rest stop bathroom.
She knew she couldn't just leave him there, but also knew she'd have to do everything in her power to find his family.
She posted the above photo with a caption that read, "GASP!!! There he sat, sad and lonely." But, not for long.

George was about to get a new family for the time being and Katie even let him drive (while stationary in the parking lot).
Katie shared on Facebook:
I know this is a long shot, but please share this– I stopped at a rest stop on Iowa Interstate 80 Eastbound and found this little guy in the bathroom wondering where his family went.
As a mom, I know exactly what it's like to have a child who's frantic when they lose their Stuffy. I decided to rescue him and bring him home until we can find his owner.
I don't know his name, so I named him George. "George" was my co-pilot home, wore his seat belt without a fuss, picked the music on the radio, and ran some errands with my family.
I'm adding pictures to show George's endeavors and captions to go along with it.

Please help me get “George” back to his family!!! He is currently on his way to my home, but I’m happy to mail him wherever he needs to go.
In this photo, Katie jokes, “George knows that seat belts save lives.”

Since finding George, it seems that he has been nearly everywhere with the family.
He accompanied them on a trip shopping for craft supplies, where he, "Found the Cricut section overwhelming."
Luckily, "He did like the skull and bones handkerchief I found!"

George and his siblings, "Reward for good behavior" was a trip to Starbucks.
We are assured that George and his sister enjoyed everyone's seasonal favorite — pumpkin spice latte.

It's also worth noting that George has plenty of human and stuffed animal company while he waits for his family to find him.
Katie shares this photo, "George tucked in tight with his new friends! Sweet dreams!"

His family will also be happy to know that George is being extremely well fed. In fact, he might even gain a few at this rate.
Katie explains her and her family's further plans for George on Facebook:
I am trying to do the right thing. We decided that we will give it until the end of the month, and if George hasn’t made it home, he will go visit a shelter in our town to help comfort a child there and spend the rest of his days.
