With St. Patrick's Day now in the books for 2015, you can put away all your green clothes, gold coins, and Irish coffee. (Okay, you might want to keep that Irish coffee out.)
Though the holiday has ended, you're probably still finishing off the last of your St. Patrick's Day treats. I know I'm gulping down a few homemade Shamrock Shakes while I still can, and I'm not going to let these delicious rainbow cupcakes go to waste either.
But there's one St. Patrick's Day special food that is good all year long and that's the classic Lucky Charms cereal! Filled with marshmallows and some other kind of cereal that no one eats (we all just pick out the marshmallows and eat those, right?), Lucky Charms has been around since 1964, and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Let me blow your mind for a second and tell you that you can take your Lucky Charms to a whole new level with just one simple ingredient. Yes, that's right! Thanks to popular YouTuber Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio, you can use some simple white chocolate to make the easiest and most delicious Lucky Charms treats you've ever had.
You can watch the below video to see exactly how these treats are made, but all you really need to do is separate your marshmallows from the other cereal bits and put them in separate bowls. Melt your white chocolate and pour it over the cereal bits on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Mix it all up, press your marshmallows into the top of the mixture, and pop it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to harden.
Slice it all up and you've got yourself a yummy Lucky Charms Treat!
