Stranger Saves 12-Year-Old Girl Who Had A Seizure In The Lazy River At Splash Kingdom

When 12-year-old Lyndsey Pellegrini attended Splash Kingdom in Redlands water park she was having the time of her life.

However, while floating on the lazy river, just moments after her mom recorded her happily in the bouncy room, she suffered a seizure.

Lyndsey has epilepsy, but it's usually flashing or strobe lights that trigger her to convulse. However, on this occasion, the sun shining through the chain link fence on the lazy river unexpectedly caused her to have a seizure.

Her mother, Sheri, had looked away for a moment, then suddenly someone came running toward her: "Sheri, Sheri — Lyndsey!" The person screamed.

Lyndsey was found face down in the river by a complete stranger. Onlookers saw that a woman had pulled her out of the water and saved her.

Though it often seems a bit superhuman, many will brave harsh waters to save a complete stranger. A man recently saved a father and daughter caught in a riptide when he could've easily been hurt himself.

Lyndsey and Sheri were grateful to the "mystery woman" and wanted to thank her. After the filming of this video, they discovered who the hero was.

It was Becky Jeffries, a first grade teacher. "She went down and it seemed like she stayed down a long time," Jefferies told ABC a week after the incident. "I saw her do a roll and then she curled up in the fetal position. I just grabbed her head and tried to pull her up."

Sheri says she hopes to make Jeffries a life long friend!
