Let's take a moment to talk about two very tasty foods: mac and cheese and candy canes. Mac and cheese is one of the best comfort foods out there — all the melty cheese has a way of making you feel immediately at ease. And candy canes are the perfect holiday treat — they're sweet and minty and remind everyone of the holiday season.
Nobody can deny that both of these foods are quite delicious, but someone went a little too far and decided they should be combined. That's right: Someone decided to make mac and cheese candy canes a reality.
Unfortunately, this isn't just a bad joke. Archie McPhee, a retailer that sells ridiculous items, is now selling mac-and-cheese-flavored candies. According to the company website, "We design and manufacture the kinds of impractical items that make life better."
I'm not exactly sure if mac and cheese candy canes will make life better, but you can take a look and decide for yourself.

These are the candy canes in question. According to the website, the candy canes come in a set of six and cost $5.95.

The product description says:
“Macaroni and Cheese Candy Canes are a particular favorite of picky eaters. These candy canes taste like your childhood favorite — mac and cheese. It’s like comfort food-flavored comfort food! Macaroni and cheese has become a holiday family tradition in many parts of the country, so why not let our holiday candy reflect that?”
If your first reaction was to gag at the thought of cheese-flavored candy canes, you're not alone.
When Instagram user JunkFoodMom posted a picture of these candy canes, people weren't shy with their thoughts.
"Ew! This is just wrong," wrote one commenter.

Another commenter wrote, "Literally I said 'ewww' when I saw this."
And another person said, "this would totally ruin my love for mac & cheese."

Other people felt conflicted. One person wrote, "That's nasty, I need this in my life!"
Another person said, "I'm not sure how to feel about these… I'm intrigued and disgusted. Lol."

Some people were really excited about the prospect of mac and cheese candy canes, though.

"What!! Noooo way… find out where we can buy these," wrote one person.
Another person said, "Feel like I might like these."
Although some people might buy these for themselves, they're probably best as a gag gift for friends.

And it's OK if mac and cheese candy canes aren't your cup of tea — Archie McPhee has plenty of other novelty flavors, too.

Their other candy cane offerings include flavors like clams, bacon, pickles, and gravy.

If you're looking for something more holiday-oriented, Archie McPhee has rotisserie chicken candy canes, coal candy canes (flavored with smoky cinnamon), and Krampus candy canes (also smoky cinnamon).

Do you know somebody who would like any of these ridiculous candy canes?

And now for the final question: Would you try a mac and cheese candy cane?
