Heidi was pregnant with her third child when she drove to pick up her daughter at school. Her son, Matthew, was buckled into his carseat in the back.
Heidi pulled up to the school's curb and left the car running as she rushed to retrieve her daughter from the playground. That's when Matthew unsnapped himself from the car seat, moved up to the wheel and set the car into motion.
When Heidi turned back to the car, she watched in horror as it careened down the road. She tried running after it, but couldn't keep up… especially since she was five months pregnant.
The car was going so fast that Heidi thought Matthew was going to die.
That's when a mailman, who had just began his shift around the neighborhood, noticed the car speeding down the street — but no one in the driver's seat.
When he heard a child screaming inside, the mailman sprung into action and turned into a bona fide superhero without a moment of hesitation.
