Man Captures His Proposal Using A Selfie Stick

Selfie sticks get a bad rap nowadays, but there may be a few among us who give the plagued phone accessory a second chance after seeing this video by Chrislord Templonuevo.

Templonuevo, an emcee for the Houston Rockets, is a man whose camera is always rolling. He films every adventure and every event, so his girlfriend Lauren thought little of his goofiness when he turned the camera on himself on a recent trip to San Francisco. Atop the Golden Gate bridge, Chrislord pans for the view before diving into his backpack with a shaky hand. "I've never been more nervous," he can be heard saying.

A few seconds in, Chrislord grabs a knee. Pulling out a small box with a brown ribbon tied neatly around it, he hands the box to Lauren. She opens it, and finds another black velvet box within. Popping it open, Chrislord reveals a shimmering engagement ring. Lauren begins to cry, and musters a sweet "Yes!" through tears and laughs. Cars nearby can be heard honking in approval as Chrislord yells, "She said yes!"

"Every time I watch it, I cry," she tells USA Today. You win this round, selfie stick.
