Every once in a while, you find a secret out about a friend or family member that truly shocks you. It doesn't happen often, but these revealed secrets can be earth-shattering and heartbreaking.
Liz Linham was married to her husband Adrian for seven years. They lived together in their home in Bristol, which is about two hours outside of London. While Adrian was often away from home for work, Liz believed that her marriage was solid and strong. But one day a letter arrived in the mail that changed everything.
The letter was from her mother-in-law expressing how sorry she was to hear about Liz and Adrian's divorce and that she hoped Liz was doing okay now that Adrian had remarried. Liz was floored by what she was reading. She immediately went on Facebook to see if the letter had any truth to it. What she found would rock her world and alter her life forever.
Liz spoke with the Daily Mail about her husband's betrayal and her immense heartbreak!

Liz and Adrian married in 2007 and spent their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Liz was a full-time mother who took care of their 4-year-old daughter while Adrian was often away for "work."
When Liz read her mother-in-law's letter in August of 2014, she went on Facebook and found pictures of her husband marrying another woman!
Liz was shocked to find that Adrian had been in a relationship with Hayley Totterdell for three years and that he had proposed to her in 2012.
The pictures revealed that not only did Adrian propose to Hayley in Riviera Maya where Liz and Adrian had honeymooned, but they were married in the same spot in May of 2014!
Liz told the Daily Mail, "It was a huge shock to me, I went on to Facebook and found the pictures pretty much straight away. Those parts of the letter are still whirling around in my head, especially the bit about 'Mrs. Hayley Linham' — she took his name."
Liz immediately called Adrian. "I just went into meltdown. He totally denied it and told me not to be so silly. But that was it — I haven't spoken to him since."
After the heartbreaking discovery, Liz uncovered a whole laundry list of lies from her husband.
During their marriage, Adrian would say he was working out of town as a scuba diving instructor, sometimes returning for only one or two nights a month. In reality, Adrian had been living with Hayley only 16 miles away!
Liz told the Daily Mail, "It has completely altered the way I look at everyone. I look at people now, who I have known and trusted for years, and think 'can I really trust you?'"
"He would tell me he loved me every day and he'd say how he couldn't be without me." Adrian even went so far as to have the same best man at his second wedding. He told his friends and family that he had divorced Liz, when he was actually still very much married to her.
Hayley, her two children, and her family had no idea that Adrian was already married. Liz knew who Hayley was, but thought she was the wife of Adrian's therapist.
"I'd always known about Hayley but the way he'd speak of her was just 'oh she's loaded, her and her husband have got more money than sense so I do as many jobs as possible at their house to rinse them." Adrian even had Liz help to paint Hayley's home telling her it was his boss's house!
Liz reported Adrian to the police and he eventually plead guilty to one count of bigamy. Adrian was sentenced to 17 weeks in prison, fined 1,000 pounds, and ordered to stay away from Liz through a restraining order. Adrian and Liz have finally begun divorce proceedings, but Hayley has stuck by Adrian's side.
In the meantime, Liz is trying to put her life back together. "I didn't think stuff like this happened in real life and I certainly didn't think it would ever happen to me."
