This tutorial is practically magical. I can't believe it really works! More than that, I can't believe Cutepolish was ingenius enough to figure out how to pull this off.
I've seen marble nails before, but only as sticker decals or press ons. This is a simple — and fun — DIY that you can do at home.
All you need is a bowl of room temperature water and a few bottles of new-ish nail polish (make sure it hasn't thickened yet).
First tape the area around your fingernail so that you can quickly peel off excess polish. Drop a few dots of polish onto the surface of the water and swirl it with a toothpick. Dip your nail into the bowl, blow onto the surface of the water, then gently remove your nail.
The result is amazing, a beautiful swirl of colors that can be chosen to suit any outfit. If you're more into neon, you might want to try these water-spotted neon nails.
What I love most about this tutorial is that peeling off the tape reminds me a lot of that feeling you get when you peel off school glue as a kid. You know when you're in art class, the glue dries on the palm of your hand and you peel it off and feel like a kid scientist in a lab?
