As a child, Skip Wells loved playing video games and playing outside with his friends. He was known as a friendly, welcoming young boy who loved to play sports as well as the clarinet.
As the young boy grew into a young man, he eventually earned the right to be called a United States Marine
So when an evil terrorist opened fire in the Chattanooga rampage this month, Wells was one of men who kept a clear head and instantly went into combat mode. He had everyone drop to the floor before falling back into a safer section of the room. It's been reported that many more would have died had it not been for Wells' and the other Marine's heroism. Unfortunately, Wells was hit and killed by the terrorist's bullet. While he may be gone, many are remembering his bravery and giving nature. When he was finally laid to rest, thousands of local residents lined up to show their support and love for the fallen hero. Hundreds of motorcycles joined in for Wells' final funeral precession; this Marine was given the respect he deserved and the honor he earned for being the hero that he was.
