Marines Sing An Amazing Version Of ‘Lord I Lift Your Name On High’

Many women love men in uniform, but when they take it a step further and sing a sweet church song with faith and passion, then it really makes one’s heart skip a beat.

In a touching video, a group of U.S. Marines take a break from their intense training and structured regimens to come together and sing, "Lord, I Lift Your Name on High."  Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, the Marines don’t hold back. Instead, they sign and gesture in unison, and you can feel a genuine sense of camaraderie and faith.

"Lord, I Lift Your Name on High” is reportedly one of the most popular Christian songs that continues to be celebrated at churches across the country.

Marines are some of the most dedicated and fiercest in the U.S. Military, yet they occasionally reveal their softer side, sense of humor, and dance moves — like the silly group of young Marines who showed off a hilarious dance to “Jump On It” and the Marines who sang an impromptu version of “Build Me Up Buttercup” in Iraq.

At the end of “Lord, I Lift Your Name on High,” the Marines show their appreciation by yelling out their signature 'hoo-rah!', reminding us that these guys mean business and take their duty, singing, and faith seriously!

On YouTube, Sylvia Rivera commented: “GOD! Bless America, and our soldiers….bless them, guard them, and shield them, touch their [hearts] if they don't know "YOU." Heal them if any are sick, and Hide them in YOUR presence and Let them see that 'YOU' are in their midst, send YOUR Help from HEAVEN, and guard our troops, and may their families be strong in 'YOU.' I salute every man and woman in the MILITARY for their courage!!”
