Valentine’s Day is considered the most romantic day of the year. For some this is the day their significant other showers them in flowers, chocolate, and sweet affection, but for others this day will go uncelebrated. However, 1,076 girls from Edmond High School all had a reason to celebrate this Valentine’s Day after each of them received a lovely surprise.
Dan Williams, an Oklahoma teen attending Edmond High School, wanted to make every girl feel special and loved this Valentine’s Day. He decided to surprise every girl in his high school with a piece of candy and a card that held a special message inside. To make these surprise gifts possible, Williams worked all summer to raise enough money just to let every girl know that someone cares about them. How adorable is this?!
Even though Williams wanted to keep his identity anonymous, his good deed wasn’t able to remain hidden for too long. Once the secret was out, his response to why he did it will bring tears to your eyes. He says, “To know that someone cares about them, that’s the best feeling in the world, I think.” What a sweet gesture from such a caring teen! I love this!
