Remaining positive in times of terrible strife can be difficult. Many of us have been there, trying to keep a smile while the world is falling apart around you.
In times like those, it's comforting to know there are Good Samaritans out there, people willing to do their part to help you out. They can be your friends, your family members, or even, in some instances, absolute strangers.
The point is, when we help each other get through struggles, when we go out of our way to help someone else, the world is a better place.
The video below showcases a story like this: A group of strangers provide the maternity shoot of a widow, and so much more.
Alishia Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, suffered a terrible tragedy. This past January, the mom-to-be lost her husband, Sam, when he was killed in a parking lot in what authorities called a dispute.
The couple was expecting their second child and Smith was all set to do a maternity shoot, but it just wouldn't be the same without her husband.
Her photographer, Lenzi Holmes of H & G Photography, could only imagine how hard it must be for Smith.
She imagined the feelings of devastation and utter disbelief.
But Holmes, citing her faith as inspiration, felt compelled to do something for this single mom-to-be and her daughter.
