Living in certain parts of the country can come with some risks. In the heartland of America, tornadoes regularly touch down. In states like Colorado, residents risk losing their homes, and even their lives, to wildfires.
A man named Darrin was one of the unlucky few whose land was utterly consumed by the Cold Springs Fire. He received the devastating news when a neighbor called, telling him that his land looked like a "war zone," and that firefighters were using every piece of equipment at their disposal to put out the fire. It was two days before he could return home to survey the damage and see what was left of his house and the woods around it.
But he was in utter shock when he arrived and saw his house. He never expected to see it the way he found it: Absolutely intact. The house was perfectly safe, but it was different story just 100 feet away from the porch. It seems that that's where the fire stopped raging. After such a close call, Darrin can only call this a miracle!
