When Emily Musson's mom and dad got wind of her and her new boyfriend posing "intimate" photos on social media, they decided to teach their little girl a lesson.
The parents, Nancy and Craig, who are in their 50s, decided that their daughter could use a fresh dose of a little healthy embarrassment. No, it isn't the bizarre act of publicly shaming children, like this dad did — this is just a bit of harmless, playful teasing.
Emily is an 18-year-old college student studying fashion at LIM in New York City. She and her boyfriend, Johnny, have been dating for only two weeks and their social media accounts are full of affectionate photos.
After Emily tweeted, "Late for work because we decided to take photos, lol, oops," Craig and Nancy did a bit of "friendly retaliating."
The couple, who have been together 28 years (a little bit longer than Emily and Johnny), recreated each of the photographs on their own.
I think the award for coolest parents goes to these two for their sense of humor! See the photos below.

This is one of the original photos of Emily and Johnny.

And this is Craig and Nancy playfully recreating the photo.

Emily wasn't very amused when her parents went viral and got over 30,000 likes on Twitter. "I mean I guess this is funny but not like over 30k favs funny," she wrote.

Nancy is embracing her newfound fame and jokingly told her daughter she could be a reality star.
"My mom thinks it's hilarious and claims she wants to be on Dancing With the Stars," Emily told Cosmopolitan.

However, Emily was shocked that her father participated.
“My dad is sort of conservative so it’s interesting she got him to participate,” she said.

So what do you think? Did their daughter's public display of affection warrant a little teasing? Let us know in the comments!
