A Florida mom got quite the surprise when she gave birth to her son on her birthday … eight years after welcoming her daughter into the world on the same day! Marianna de la Cruz was shocked by the double coincidence that she now shares her January 4 birthday with both her daughter and her son.
"It was really shocking," she shared with Good Morning America. "My family was just in shock. They said they were betting and some family members said he'll come January 3 and others were saying, 'No, he'll come January 4.'"
In 2016, her daughter, Jailyn, was due on January 12. She ended up arriving eight days early on her mother's birthday. This go round, her son Eden was due on January 16 and came 12 days early.
"I actually was at work and I left. I told my boss, 'Hey, I'll be right back. It only takes about 15, 20 minutes to get checked,'" she explained. "I left all my work on my desk. I left my computer unlocked, everything, and I just never came back."

"I went to the hospital. I got evaluated. I don't know what was seen or what was discussed, but the doctor did call me and said, 'We're not sending you home today. You're being induced today.'"
Jailyn was surprised but also eager at the news that she would be sharing a birthday with both her mom and her brother. "It's a miracle that he [was] born on our birthday," she said.
