Mom Listens To A Stranger’s Heartbeat And Bursts Into Tears. When I Saw Why… I’m Crying, Too!

This is one bittersweet story with a real hero at the center.

Portland mom Sue Ellen Monaghan's worst nightmare came true. Her son Tim Conley died tragically in a work-related accident when he was just 25 years old. While working a shift at Home Depot, Tim hit his head and passed away five days later.

Fortunately, she raised one incredible son. Before Tim died, he registered as an organ donor.

Like when 13-year-old Julia Jenkins donated bone marrow to save three of her brothers, organ donation is a totally selfless gesture that can save another life when we have already lost our own.

Since Tim passed away, he has saved the lives of four others. Incredible. However, there is one special recipient, 52-year-old Jon Claflin, who is perhaps the most emblematic of Tim's compassion.

If you're interested in becoming an organ donor, too, please visit OrganDonor.gov.

If you haven't quite made up your mind, consider this incredible fact: one organ donor can save up to eight lives. Each day, 21 people die while awaiting an organ donation; there are 123,429 people (moms, dads, sons, daughters, and children) awaiting a donation.

Moreover, while your kind act will help others, after watching this video, I think you'll see that it also helps the loved ones we leave behind.

Watch the video to see the beautiful moment when a grieving mother meets the man her son's gift saved.
