Moms are always doing the most. They look out for our best interest at all times, even when we don't know they're doing it. One mom took her efforts to the next level when she went around scouting potential girlfriends for her son. When one prospect took to Twitter and shared the story, the internet was rolling in laughter.
According to Metro, it all started when a woman named Patricia was shopping at an H-E-B in San Antonio. She approached a group of students from the University of Texas at San Antonio. The polite conversation about puppies took a turn when Patricia mentioned that her son, Codey, was also a student there. She then mentioned that he was single — wink wink, nudge nudge — in typical matchmaker fashion.
Charisma Valdez, one of those students, found the encounter so funny that she tweeted about it. She had no idea that the tweet would go viral. And as fate would have it, Patricia's efforts worked — Codey and Charisma actually went out on a date.
Moms are known for putting in 100% effort on your behalf, even when you aren't there to witness it.
When Patricia went to her local H-E-B, she wasn't planning on matchmaking for her son.
She ran into a group of students from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and they started an innocent conversation about puppies.
While chatting with the girls, who happened to go to the same school as her son, Codey, Patricia asked if any of them were single.
One of the young women, Charisma Valdez, thought the exchange was so adorable that she took to Twitter to share the story.
One of Codey's friends added his Snapchat and a picture to give everyone the full idea of what Codey's about.
People thought it was hysterical that Codey's mom was putting in the extra work to find him a respectable girl.
She even had their university's blessing, which is pretty awesome.
Some people were a little concerned for Codey's career prospects, but you should know his mom will also take care of that if she sees fit.
Codey's brother even hopped on Twitter to applaud his mom's efforts, and she joined the social media platform to chime in, too!
What's best about this story is that the tweet going viral led to Codey making a Twitter and tweeting at Charisma.
Codey then spilled some juicy details: His mom's matchmaking worked! The two went out.
We even got a picture of Codey and Charisma on their first date!
We already know mom approves, so we'll be keeping an eye out to see if this match works out.
