Sometimes, the last thing on a mom's mind is the way she looks. After all, how is there any time between working, cooking, cleaning… the list goes on and on.
That's how many moms probably think, though the reality is that they should be taking care of themselves — not for other people, but for their own well-being. After all moms sacrifice, they definitely should be able to take the time and brush their hair or buy a new shirt (that's not on sale).
Take this mom, for example, who decided it's time for a change and chopped off her long white hair. It was most likely the best decision she ever made!
On a video posted July 25, 2015, we meet 42-year-old Kathy Burke and her daughter. The latter was a big fan of getting her mom the makeover she so desperately needed — and they luckily caught the attention of the Today show for an Ambush Makeover!
Wearing a plain red top and black skirt, Kathy described her look as “causal.” Her daughter then revealed the fact that she had no beauty routine whatsoever.
After hearing this, the makeover team felt ready to tackle the project. Kathy received an outfit change, a dramatic new haircut and a facial makeover. She then walked out onto the stage, where her blindfolded family waited.
Once they got the cue to take the blindfolds off, her daughter's draw dropped as she gasped. She truly couldn't believe her eyes! But you'll have to watch the video below for yourself to find out what Kathy ended up looking like.
