Grieving Mom Had Her Husband’s Tattoo Removed & Framed As A Family Keepsake

Grief is a universal experience but a completely unique journey. What works for one will not work for all. Grieving mom and widow Angelica Radevski is making no apologies for her “controversial” decision. The mom shared on Facebook that she and her son, in addition to ashes, decided to have a beloved tattoo removed from her husband’s body and preserved.

Yes, his tattoo from his literal skin.

In a follow-up TikTok, Radevski explained that she and her husband had previously discussed doing this upon their deaths.

“When my husband passed away unexpectedly, I knew that this is something that we were going to do because we had talked about it,” she said.

She used Save My Ink Forever, the only company in the world that offers this kind of service. The company lovingly removed a Pittsburgh Steelers tattoo that her son chose.

@realangelicavibes Everyone’s asking how we preserved my husband’s tattoo… This is just one piece of the story, but there is so much more to tell. But I want you to know how we did this, and why it mattered so much. 🖤 #tattoostorytime #grieftok #viralstory #preservedtattoo #widowstrong #storytime2025 #angelicavibes #realafmom #healinginpublic #steelers ♬ original sound – Angelica | Real AF Sports Mom

The skin is framed so it cannot be touched, but you can see the hairs and wrinkles, as well as a few surrounding tattoos she wanted in there. The mom said Save My Ink Forever kept her informed every step of the way, and once it arrived, it was like having a void filled.

“This has helped me in ways that I didn’t know that I needed help, in places that I thought I needed it. I can’t tell you what this journey so far has been for me, for my son, for our family, for our friends,” she stated.

Radevski’s husband died unexpectedly on March 21, 2025, at 55 years old. But now, she has a piece of him forever.
