We recently shared the story of a man who, after saving for many years, was finally able to "give back" to his mother and buy her a home, and it really touched my heart.
More so than anything, I would love to do something like this for my father someday, but I pray it won't happen under the same heartbreaking circumstances as in this next video. Here we see a similar scenario with a mother and son, only the story has a much sadder origin.
Here in the United States, we celebrate Mother's Day in May and, up until today, I thought this was true all over the world. However, Mother's Day in Ireland is celebrated on "Mothering Sunday," the fourth Sunday of Lent. Unfortunately for the Irish mum in this video, the past few Mothering Sundays have not been happy ones.
Three years earlier, one of her sons passed away right around the holiday, leaving behind his pregnant wife. While this mother lives in Ireland, her sons live halfway across the world, and she has never met her grandson or seen her family since their devastating loss. In fact, she thought she'd never get the chance to meet her young grandson, so you can imagine the old woman's shock when her other son shows up on her front door carrying his nephew.
If this doesn't make your heart sing, nothing will… Please spread the joy today and SHARE this video on Facebook!
