These days there seem to be a million ways to bring potential online daters together.
Online dating sites offer people the chance to find mates with all kinds of similar interests: farming, veganism, and religion — just to name a few.

But when I saw how one amazing new dating app is bringing folks together over their shared love of Disney, I had to know more!
Mouse Mingle aims to bring the "magic" of Disney into your dating life, whether you live next door to a Disney theme park or hundreds of miles away. Mingle believes that no matter where you are in the world, there is a potential mate who is as passionate about Disney as you.

Mouse Mingle — which launched December 1st — is helping Disney fans throughout the world to find "their Minnie or Mickey."
The site encourages its users to take snapshots of themselves at their favorite Disney theme park and share them on their Mouse Mingle profiles.
Mouse Mingle founder David Tavres is a giant "Mouse" fan himself.
He shares his idea behind Mouse Mingle with LA Magazine, "I found it hard to find women who were as interested in Disney as I am. I’m not the guy who hits on women at the [Disney] parks, and there’s no flag that says, 'Hey I’m single.' ”
At first, David tried to gauge interest through more traditional websites.
However, as he shares with Mashable, "There was no way to narrow down the searches to find women in the right distance and age range who loved Disney."
David says that he has always found a way to surround himself with Disney. He even worked as an engineer at Disneyland in California in 2011, and believes that's probably when the seed for Mouse Mingle was planted.
Although the site is free to browse, if you want to reach out to another user, it does require a membership payment.
The membership price of $12.55 might seem like an oddly specific number. However, the ".55" is a reference to 1955 – the original year Disney's first park opened.
Like most dating websites, Mouse Mingle asks users fill out a standard dating profile. However, this one has a bit of a fun twist.
Profile questions include favorite Disney songs, favorite Disney movies, and favorite Disney princes/princesses. The survey also asks users to describe their most memorable Disney theme park experience.
In addition, the site tracks how close you are to the nearest Disney theme park and lets other users know if you hold an annual pass.
However, David shares with Mashable, “There are countless single Disney fans that live in the spaces between Disney parks. Those people often have a greater passion for Disney, as they don’t get to visit as often.”
David encourages users to take photos of themselves enjoying Disney locations as their profile pictures, and hopes these Disney fans will take follow-up photos when they visit with their dates.

The site prompts new users to indicate whether they're in the market for a "Park Pal," friendship, dating, or marriage.
Even folks that work at Disney theme parks are signing up!
However, Mouse Mingle's homepage notes that proximity to a park is not a basic requirement. "There are fans everywhere who want to find someone to share their Disney passions with."
At the end of the day, David's goal is to bring folks together who wouldn't have met otherwise. "My hope is that people literally around the world will find the site useful."
Mouse Mingle is certain that with a little time (and magic) their users will start to post their adorable Disney wedding photos as well.
