Despite not personally knowing public figures, we still feel the immense weight of their passing as if they were our dearest friends. Their ability to touch our hearts without ever meeting us face-to-face is a testament to the rare significance those individuals possessed. The man in the montage below definitely fits into that category.
Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. in 1942, Muhammad Ali would later go on to earn several titles as he climbed his way up the ladder of boxing. Of course, it was impossible to deny that he was worthy of the moniker when you saw his insatiable passion in the ring.
But Ali didn't only pack a punch with his legendary fists. He quickly became known for his bombastic personality and penchant for memorable soundbites in his interviews early on in his career. With his fame rising during the 1960s, Ali was also an outspoken activist for Civil Rights, a cause he would remain dedicated to his whole life.
