Mysterious Furry Creature Surprises A Man On His Hike

There is truly no end to Mother Nature's incredible phenomenons.

Whenever I spend time in the great outdoors, I'm always so fascinated by all our wonderful world has to offer. Nature never ceases to amaze me,and when you embrace it, you never know what — or in this case, who — you're going to find.

In the following video found on YouTube, we see a man walking through the forest and recording his surroundings. As he reaches a seemingly hollowed-out stump, a tiny, furry, white creature pops his head out to say hello! At first, I thought this little guy was some type of ferret, but apparently this little guy is an ermine. Also known as a stoat or a short-tailed weasel, these adorable-looking furballs are actually carnivorous creatures that were first introduced to places like New Zealand to help control an overpopulation of rabbits.

As you can see in the video, this ermine is pretty friendly to the man who walked right up and started filming him. This is pretty surprising to me, as it's probably not every day that it gets to stare a human right in the face. I love how friendly this little one is!

Do you think he's adorable, too? Please SHARE this video on your Facebook page if you do!
