While cleaning out their grandparent's attic in Tampa, FL, Mike's sister found a mysterious wooden box. Its contents are now going viral, and for very good reason.
Though his family found the box in their grandparent's home, Mike believes it originally belonged to his great-grandparents — inside, there's a picture of the couple on their wedding day, along with other more alarming items.
Mike himself is completely stupefied by the discovery, so he enlisted the help of CNN affiliate WFLA and the Tampa Bay History Center. But guess what? The Center's curator is both fascinated and perplexed by the box's components, and can't quite figure them out. Mike even has the professionals stumped!
This story reminds me of the guy who unearthed his great-grandfather’s World War II case from up in the attic — only this box leaves much more questions than answers.
When he opens up the box in the video below, you'll see it contains something much more mysterious than Mike and his family ever expected.

Inside the box, Mike was shocked to find four items -- a wedding photo, a treasure map, some coins, and the skeleton of what appears to be a human hand, complete with a wedding ring on the ring finger. Let's take a closer look...

...A mysterious collection of old coins. They're a little too thin to be Spanish coins.

...A map, which is either a treasure map or a blueprint of some sort. Notice the map has an illustration of a skeleton hand...

And behold, the most jaw-dropping item inside the wooden box — a skeleton of a hand with a ring on its ring finger. It appears to be a human hand, though the curators aren't 100% sure. This hand is eerily similar to the drawing on the map… I don't want to speculate, but there are definitely more questions than answers here!
