Alyson Myatt is a super nanny. The 22-year-old woman and live-in nanny went above and beyond the call of duty when a fire blazed through the home. As the only adult in the house, she ran barefoot through the flames to rescue 5-year-old Aden Hawes from the house fire, suffering third degree burns on her legs and hands.
Fire officials said there's no question that Myatt's fearless actions saved Aden's life. He survived the harrowing night and came through the experience unscathed. After the nanny's heroic actions made headlines, Ellen DeGeneres decided to invite Myatt and the young boy's family to the show to tell the heroic story. The little boy's dad got choked up: "What can you say to the person who saves your world? My son is my life. I could never repay her."
That's when DeGeneres announced that she had a huge surprise for the nanny: $20,000 to put toward her medical bills and an all-expenses paid vacation to Aruba. The selfless nanny is in complete shock, thanking the talk show host over and over. What a truly incredible story!
