It's something many of us have to struggle with from time to time: irritating pain in the neck, shoulder, or even worse, both. Whether it's extreme or faint, such pain is nearly impossible to ignore.
And in today's age, constantly using our smartphones or typing away at our desks is simply making this pain more common.
The worst part? It often seems impossible to get rid of, no matter how much we rub or stretch using special techniques from experts.
But, Jill Miller's method below, just may be a great way to get rid of that unwanted tension. It looks so simple, and I don't know about you, but I've never seen it before.
The founder of Yoga Tune Up and author of The Roll Model explains that shoulder and neck pain is often a result of strain in the hand. That's why her technique focuses on an exercise performed in the palm.
As shown in the OWN video, all she uses is a rubber ball and a flat surface to perform the technique on — and it's so quick, too!
Of course if you're suffering from pain in these areas (or anywhere on the body), it's important to consult with a healthcare provider. But if you're like me and constantly use a computer, it doesn't hurt to give this quick technique a go.
