Just like how someone can become a millionaire overnight through good fortune or talent, there are other stories that are quite the opposite. Instead of the uplifting "rags to riches" stories, we sometimes hear those stories which feature men or women who fall from grace so fast and so hard that it could easily make your head spin.
Disgraced Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is one of those stories. For whatever reason, he concocted a lie that he was robbed at gunpoint in Brazil. While it seemed true at first, his story quickly began to fall apart, and as the investigation became more intense, Ryan eventually admitted to lying to millions of people.
While we can't be sure why exactly Ryan came up with such an odd and pointless lie, one thing is certain: he's beginning to see the consequences for his actions. Sponsors are dropping him left and right, and the shame he's brought not only to himself, but to the United States as a whole is truly embarrassing.
But a few years before he told the little lie that ruined everything, Ryan was living it up on cloud nine. In an interview that's now gone viral, Ryan is being asked questions about his upcoming reality show in which he searches for true love. And Ryan's answers and general behavior leave the two news anchors totally speechless.
When the interview is over, you can't help but laugh at how much they're cracking up at the Olympian. Even before his rise and fall, these two can't keep a straight face at just how hilarious it all seems!
Ryan has a lot he has to do before he earns any new respect. If he takes his punishment and focuses on the truth again, maybe this will all be for the best. He has a lot to make up for, but hopefully, he'll find it in his heart and do the right thing from now on.
