Here in New York, it's hard to ignore the heartbreaking number of homeless people living on the streets.
While it's impossible for one person to stop and help every single one, how you react to them says a lot. Here at LittleThings, we've shared a lot of heartwarming stories about people helping the homeless. However, I think that some of the most powerful content we've ever seen have to do with people who actually see for themselves what being homeless is really like.
This video proved that most people don't even flinch when they pass by someone in desperate need of help, even as the "homeless" people they saw (or neglected to see) were actually their own loved ones in disguise. When this man posed as a homeless person and tried to give back to those who leant a helping hand, the results were even more heartbreaking.
Now, in this next video, we see people who live the opposite of a life on the streets, two professional NFL players who decided to spend a couple of days in a homeless person's shoes. With only $8 between the two millionaires, they panhandled, spent the night outdoors, and even turned a few lives around.
Their experience can teach us a whole lot about how we treat others, when we have no idea what they're really going through.
How did their experience make you feel? Please SHARE this video with all of your friends on Facebook to spread this important message of hope.
