Double amputee veteran Noah Galloway has already stolen America’s hearts with his moves on Dancing with the Stars, and on Monday night he made the world melt even more when he to his girlfriend, Jamie Boyd, on live television.
After Galloway performed David Cook's "Time of My Life" with dance partner Sharna Burgess, he went backstage for an interview with host Erin Andrews. That's when he popped the question with a two-carat diamond ring.
"The song, the ‘Time of My Life,' you've given that to me," Galloway told the Army Reserve specialist before dropping down on one knee. “I’ve gotta do this here.”
Boyd happily said yes!
Galloway, who enlisted in the army after September 11 and lost his limbs from a roadside bomb explosion in 2005, had been planning to propose for some time. The 33-year-old decided to do it live on air after Boyd unexpectedly appeared on the ABC show in March to surprise him.
"That was a moment when I knew I wanted to propose to her on the show. I always thought if I made it to the finale I would propose, but I realized the competition is so stiff I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by in case this is the end of the road for me on the show,” he told People.
