The Home Where OJ Simpson Raised His Children Is Quietly Demolished After Foreclosure

OJ Simpson’s longtime residence in Miami, where he raised his two youngest children after being acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, has been knocked down.

The former athlete, now 75, bought the house back in 2000 for $575,000.

The home was foreclosed on, however, in 2012, while Simpson was in jail for his 2008 conviction in an armed robbery in Las Vegas.

According to the New York Post and Miami-Dade Property Appraiser records, the property was bought by an investment company for $513,000 in 2014.

The home was a four-bedroom, four-bathroom house in the Kendall area of Miami.

It featured a swimming pool, basketball court, and 1.65 acres.

The residence was demolished in summer of 2022 and listed for sale at $2.6 million. According to the Post, the house stayed on the market for months but ended up being removed recently after no one bought it.

Back when Simpson purchased the property nearly 23 years ago, he spoke with the Miami Herald about the how it differed from other houses he’s owned.

“I’ve lived in some pretty upscale places — this place has a lot of shortcomings compared to them,” Simpson had told the newspaper. “But the land is great, and I’ve already met some of the neighbors.”

The former football player lived there until he had to begin a prison sentence in 2008. He was approved for parole in 2017 after serving nine years of that same sentence.

According to the Post, Simpson currently lives in a golf course community in Las Vegas.
