Aretha Franklin’s Performance Of ‘Natural Woman’ Leaves The President In Tears

All hail to the Queen of Soul, aka Aretha Franklin.

The legendary singer, whose career spans more than five decades, stole the show at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. She even managed to get President Obama emotional as she performed her hit "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."

Of course, Obama wasn't the only one blown away by the performance. Many more were singing along during the performance, which earned Franklin a well-deserved standing ovation.

Notably, one of the night's honorees, Carole King, was left in awe. As a cowriter of the classic song, King couldn't hide her excitement watching Franklin powerfully belt the 1967 tune.

"You've no idea how much it meant that so many great people showed up to honor me. Or maybe you do. Did you see my face? I love you all!!" King also tweeted.

She added: "If anyone wants to know what I said when I turned away & said something to Sherry, it was, 'OMG, she’s playing the piano!!'"

The night, which also honored several other famous stars — Rita Moreno, George Lucas, Cicely Tyson, and Seiji Ozawa — was certainly one to remember.
