President Barack Obama has found ways to increase his popularity in ways no other commander-in-chief has been able to do.
When he’s not running the nation, speaking on important social issues, meeting the oldest veteran alive in the United States, or dealing with tragic shootings, the President finds ways to connect with Americans on a different level.
He’s been on a variety of talk shows, taken photos with celebrities like Beyonce, and even posed for a selfie with Vice President Joe Biden. Does it get hipper than that?
It’s also almost impossible to forget the time he broke out in song while speaking a fundraiser in New York’s Apollo Theater. He sang a snippet of Al Green's famous hit "Let's Stay Together" and it quickly went viral.
The audience cheered loudly as the President sang. Surprisingly, he sounded better than you might think.
"Those guys didn't think I would do it," he said. "I told you I was going to do it."
Many commented on how entertaining President Obama is, including one user who wrote, "Whether you're for or against him, you can't deny the fact that he is the coolest President America ever had."
Another said: "Possibly the coolest president ever. If only Bill where accompanying him on the sax!"
