Cleveland, Ohio, Man Appears In Court And Tries To Strangle Suspect In His Brother’s Death

Twenty-eight-year-old Travon Singleton was preparing to give a statement in his brother's murder trial when he apparently decided to take matters into his own hands. While approaching the jurors' box to make a statement, Singleton leapt on top of the suspected killer.

Body camera footage shows Singleton jumping on top of Jaelan Brabson, who was being sentenced on April 20, 2022. Singleton had been given permission to make a victim impact statement to the court.

Singleton was able to get on top of Brabson and even get his hands around the man's throat before officers pulled him off. Singleton was put into a room separate from the court.

Singleton was also sentenced to 15 days in jail following his outburst.
