What a sight to see! Can you imagine this happening in your kitchen every day?
Watch in delight as João Silvestrini, an older Brazilian man, explain to the camera how a friendly mother hummingbird and her baby (seen in the video) regularly visit him and fly around his home!
The awesome part about this is that Hummingbirds are not the most social birds, and they typically prefer to live solitary lives. The fact this family is so sweet and open to João is truly incredible. It's almost as if the bird understands what the man is saying, and they have a communication all their own. Another interesting fact is that Hummingbirds, while independent and often aggressive (males, mostly), are extremely smart, and they have a terrific memory. It's no wonder these feathered friends keep coming back to João!
