According to Kids And Cars, an average of 38 children die from heat stroke each year due to being trapped inside hot motor vehicles. Even the best of parents or caregivers can unknowingly leave a sleeping baby in a car, resulting in injury or even death.
Directed by Isaac Barker for RedCastle Media, One Decision is a short film that was made in hopes of helping to prevent these types of child injuries or death. It's a powerful film about a mother who accidentally leaves her baby in the car on a hot day and the events that unfold once she realizes her grave mistake.
Note that this is a reenactment and that no one was harmed in the making of this film. The reality, however, is all too real. And, even though it's only a film, I couldn't help but cry at the end.
