I am always inspired by folks who turn their limitations into their greatest strengths.
Countless people — like this young blind man turned piano prodigy — are just everyday men and women with touching tale to share.
Josh Sundquist is one such person. From a quick glance, Josh looks like your average dude — except for one thing: Josh is missing a leg.
Diagnosed with cancer at only 9 years old, Josh's parents feared the worst. However, after chemotherapy and a leg amputation, Josh decided to take his disability and turn it into his greatest ability.
Not only is Josh a globally renowned Paralympic athlete, published author, Youtube celebrity and more — he's created a Halloween costume revolution!
Josh styles costumes that don't just hide his one leg, but feature it. They're hilarious, heartwarming, and I can't wait to share them with you.

Meet Josh. Even though he became an amputee as a child, he still has an incredible sense of humor. “I was just at the zoo one time and I noticed that flamingos look like me doing a crutch handstand."
“I’ve always dealt with the social discomfort of my disability by having a sense of humor,” Josh explains.
It's clear that Josh's ability to not take himself too seriously is one of his greatest assets. “If my career doesn't work out, I could probably get a job at IHOP.”
Josh was heavily inspired by the classic film "A Christmas Story" and created a surprising and unique Halloween costume to honor that.
On deciding to be a foosball figurine, Josh shares, "I thought it was appropriate since last year I was also named to the US Amputee World Cup Team.”
That's right, Josh is also a multi-season athlete — and the only person in history to ever have been named to both the US Paralympic Ski Team and the US Amputee Soccer Team.
He also serves as a fitness inspiration for the disabled! Just when you thought Josh couldn't have achieved more success, in 2006, he entered the "Body for Life" challenge: a contest that requires entrants to take before and after photographs. He spent 12 weeks working out before posing for the "after" picture.
In additional to his athletic success, Josh also shares his powerful message of overcoming difficulties by working as a motivational speaker. To date, he's spoken across the world to groups ranging from Fortune 500 companies to inner city public schools to the White House.
And now Josh can now add "husband" to his long list of achievements: motivational speaker, professional skier, media personality, and more!
Josh is such an amazing role model for anyone looking to overcome a disability, sharing the message that our limitations can be our biggest source of creativity and inspiration.
