In my family — like many of yours I'm sure — quality time spent together almost always revolves around food. Whether it's elaborate dinners on Christmas Eve, or themed dinner parties, we're pretty much always looking forward to our next great family meal.
For me, my favorite time of year for food and family parties is during the warmer summer months. Whether you're throwing some burgers and hot dogs on the grill, or going for something a little bit more elaborate, there are endless combinations of flavors and recipes to experiment with. That's why when I started planning my next big barbecue, I wanted to find a really great (and different) recipe to make for all of my guests.
And just like this recipe where your run-of-the-mill hot dogs were transformed into delicious stuffed, bacon-wrapped delicacies, or when we showed you how to turn a few ingredients into amazing bacon BBQ meatballs, I couldn't help but to add this next idea to my BBQ "must make" list. When I saw how my favorite barbecue staple, onions, were transformed into something totally new and delicious, I was drooling!
The combination of onions, bacon and cheese combine together for my perfect trifecta of good eats. I can even imagine heating the onions or dip up with some spices for your guests who like things hot, hot, hot!
If you loved this recipe and are planning on including it on your next BBQ menu, please SHARE with all of your friends!
