Apes and monkeys are exceptionally smart animals. We've witnessed time and time again that many of the ones who live in captivity are able to learn how to do some pretty incredible stuff — such as coloring, writing, and even learning sign language!
At LittleThings, we have seen plenty of the awesome things that these animals are capable of, and yet, they never cease to amaze us! We have seen one gorilla who played a sneaky game with a zoo visitor, the incredibly touching moment that Robin Williams shared with one of his biggest fans (and we mean that literally), and an adorable monkey couple who dressed up for a nice dinner out on the town.
Because we know that they are capable of doing so many of the different things that we humans do, it should come as no surprise that they also seem to interact with one another like we do, too. They have their own families, they take care of their babies, and some of them even take a liking to keeping a dog as a pet, like the capuchin who lovingly looked after her family's litter of puppies. But the ape in this next video does something that is really mind-blowing when offers himself up to babysit a pack of feisty little tiger cubs.
Modeling his babysitting skills after some of the zookeepers, he feeds the cubs out of a bottle, plays with them, and even gives them the cutest hugs and kisses!
